Jon and Kate Gosselin reuniting might not be such a good idea - which is why an appointed arbitrator will be monitoring them in court. The fighting couple will be face-to-face in the next few days to figure out all the details for their divorce. After the two have been feuding about each other separately on national television since the nasty split, the TLC exes will be in court behind closed doors about money and other important matters. Adding to the problem is the issue in which Jon is being sued by TLC for breaking the contract. He faces large legal bills, but also is staring down a huge sum of money to pay if TLC wins the case and is awarded damages. Jon is still trying to stall the divorce so the couple’s money remains in the bank together and so that Kate will convince TLC not to go against him because of money for the children, as well as her. Kate would like the divorce to go on and be done with. If this happens, Jon will be on his own for payment to TLC and that could be one large sum. TLC is represented by Williams & Connolly, one of the best law firms in the country. Lead attorney Paul Gaffney has gathered up depositions with people who were close to Jon during the past few months when TLC alleges he breached his contract. TLC is also going to attempt a preliminary injunction against the father of eight and, if it is granted, Jon will not be able to trade off his “fame” for cash in paid interviews and appearances he has done. He will also not be able to do any other TV projects. Meanwhile, Jon has been spending time in Hawaii. One source says that instead of the harsh words he has been using against Kate, he is ready to bring the tone down. Friends of Kate say she’s ready to move on with the rest of her life and close this chapter. The final episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 airs November 23.
