Kate Winslet says she has been 'in hiding' as she felt 'overexposed' during the awards season last year.

The 34-year-old revealed at this year's Golden Globes that she has been staying out of the limelight since picking up a number of gongs at last year's award shows for movies The Reader and Revolutionary Road.

She told UK newspaper the Daily Mail:

"I was in hiding a little bit, just doing family stuff and very little work. To be honest, I felt so overexposed this time last year with the Golden Globes and the Oscar.
"It was fantastic and everything, but I was sick of me, let alone what other people must have felt."
