When Charlie Sheen was arrested over Christmas for allegedly threatening and assaulting his wife, Brooke Mueller, his ex-wife Denise Richards had to break the news to one of their daughters after a kindergarten friend spilled the beans. Those darn kids!
Richards is appearing on Oprah today, and says that Sheen called on Christmas Day and the only thing he said was that he and Mueller had been in a fight and that she'd called police.
"It's sad, perhaps people can see what I went through," she says of the whole situation. Oprah asked if Sheen had been abusive during their marriage, and Richards says that there were "a lot of verbal arguments that got heated and scared me" but that he never hit her. She said that he did however, push and shove her which led her to seek protection from him.
She says that now her and Charlie through the help of a mediator are in a "good" place.
