Carey Mulligan: Chopin Chick

Stepping out for a swanky evening, Carey Mulligan was spotted at the 2010 Virtuoso Awards presented by Chopin Vodka last night (February 7).

The “An Education” actress looked lovely as she mingled with fellow guests as part of the 25th Annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival at the Lobero Theatre.

In related news, though Carey’s career has certainly taken off, she says she’s not getting a big head about it thanks to her mom.

She explained, “I phoned up and said, ‘Mum, mum, mum! I got nominated for an Oscar!’ And she said, ‘Oh fabulous, I’m just with a student – can you call me back in 45 minutes?’”
