The "American Idol" Top 12 took to the stage on Tuesday night for a two-hour concert of songs made famous by über British rock band, the Rolling Stones. Michael Lynche kicked off the tribute night with "Miss You." Randy Jackson told him, "We are looking to see who is in this to win it. You have been good every week, but this reminded me how good a performer you are. You slayed it." Ellen DeGeneres asked, "What is not to love about that? At some point, I am going to be disappointed, but not yet." Kara DioGuardi pointed out, "This is the first night on the big stage. It is hard. You have to fill up that stage. The Stones were great performers and that is what you delivered tonight." Simon Cowell, on the other hand, wasn't as pleased by Mike's performance, saying, "You definitely have your confidence up. If I am being honest, I thought the performance at times was corny. You sang it well, but when you watch it back, it was verging at times on desperate." Didi Benami opted for "Play with Fire." Randy commented, "The Rolling Stones are one of the greatest bands in history. You picked 'Play with Fire.' You are on fire. That was one of your best performances." Ellen told her, "You have an amazing voice. You lost your way, but you got right back. I was proud that you got back." Kara agreed, adding, "I think sometimes when you push on your vocals, you lose your way. But tonight you had an intensity and you got dark. There is something compelling with the sweetness of your voice compared with the darkness of the lyrics. Two steps in the right direction." Simon said, "What I like about you is you are showing us the kind of artist you want to be. I have been a fan of yours the last two weeks. It was a very solid, but not brilliant performance. I still think you can do better."
