Pirates of the Caribbean star Keira Knightley is reportedly "gutted" at missing out on the lead role in a movie adaptation of My Fair Lady. According to the Sunday Mirror, Knightley, 25, has reportedly been working hard with singing lessons in a bid to get the role but lost out to An Education star Carey Mulligan, 24. "Keira wanted to play the role. She's been linked to the production for nearly four years. She's always loved Audrey Hepburn, who starred in the original movie, and had spent the last year working her backside off with private singing lessons.
She knew she didn't have a huge voice but she was willing to put the effort in for the role. It would have been a role of a lifetime for Keira, and she's gutted that it hasn't worked out." As disappointed as Keira is, we think Carey is a much better choice.
