Source: Mel Gibson Domestic Violence Case in Prosecutors' Hands

A source tells ET that Mel Gibson's domestic violence case has been turned over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Gibson was being investigated for suspicion of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.

Meanwhile, our source says the Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the allegations of extortion against Gibson's ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
